Lisa Hart All New Moons are times to seed our intentions for the coming month and beyond. Yesterday’s New Moon (9/2/2024) brings an especially potent time to do so, coming in Virgo Season, the Season of Seeds. Virgo the Sower calls us in to a Deep Stillness and potentization. We can use this time to concentrate our energy, holding our Truth and Vision safely for when the Earth is ready for it’s germination. As the World outside of ourselves and the messages from the Heavens get louder, this seed or seeds will sustain us and be a home to come back to. Many Celestial Bodies are Retrograde (Rx) right now: Neptune, Pluto, Uranus, Saturn and Chiron. All of them are calling us inward. Mercury, freshly Direct in Leo, brings a warmth of Heart needed to protect and insulate our Seeds as, with this New Moon rising in Virgo, we bring ourselves into deep stillness.
Saturn Rx in Pisces opposite this Sun and Moon in Virgo accentuates the energy of Deep Listening and quiet. You may feel a pause or something not moving. Use the time to tune in to your intuition and all things Earth and grounding.
Pluto Rx went into Capricorn and Uranus stationed Rx in Taurus just before this New Moon bringing huge shifts of energy and disruption. In a LOUD voice they call on us to break down old paradigms and structures and to clear out old Karma. Even as we face challenges that may well burst upon us, we have access to a deep quiet and stillness within. Use this Stillness as your compass to navigate the breakups and break thoughs. Uranus Rx can feel a lot like Mercury in Rx but with a deeper tone and will challenge us to keep true to our values.
Virgo Season is seed season. Winnow away to just what is essential. Go inward and fold with gratitude and acknowledgement all that you have done and are into a small kernel of potential for the coming Spring. What do we want to enfold into ourselves, to carry with us, to nourish and protect from the coming Winter storms?
Pluto Rx in the very last breath of Capricorn trines (harmonizes with) Uranus Rx in Taurus and Sedna in the first breath of Gemini. Both of these form a Grand Trine with Venus, Lilith and Juno in Libra. Pluto brings endings and transitions as well as transformations, Uranus shakes up and disrupts structures and paradigms that are unsustainable and do not honor Earth. Sedna asks us to face our deepest betrayals and traumas and transmute them into blessings of abundance, nurture and empowerment. All of this is in harmony with our Self Worth, our value and our desire for harmonious relationships with All. This speaks especially to valuing our Divine Feminine and the Feminine Shadow (what has been suppressed/repressed).
Along with endings and transitions we may find that our Earth or Garden is not as abundant as in the past, but by keeping open to our intuition, which is VERY strong with this New Moon, we will find a serendipity of abundance in unexpected places. Stay tuned in and follow the feel to where there is a ‘Yes’. The Minor Grand Trine of Neptune Rx in Pisces, Pluto Rx in Capricorn and Uranus Rx in Taurus express this energy.
Mercury Direct in Leo and Chiron Rx in Aries both sextile (flow with) Jupiter in Gemini emphasizing communicating from the Heart and from a healed, tempered Masculine expression. The Healed Masculine includes qualities of protection, providing, initiation, integrity and rational action.
Mars in Gemini is very stressed, quite frankly. Being the Center of a Yod with Pluto Rx in Capricorn and Athena in Scorpio. This signifies that Mars in Gemini must adjust his expressions (Gemini) to account for Deep Truth and Justice (Scorpio Athena) and the deconstruction of Old Karmic institutions or organizations (Capricorn Pluto Rx). Adding to this is the stress and intensity of Mars at 29° Gemini forming a Grand Cross (four squares) with Capricorn Ceres (Earth Mother), Neptune Rx in Pisces (Oneness/Love) and the Ladies (Venus, Juno and Lilith) in Libra. As we square our expressions and movements (Gemini Mars) with Love and Care for all, bringing balance to our relationships with each other, especially the Divine and Healed Feminine, new horizons will open up and new adventures will call. We are turning away from the abandonment, betrayal and wounding of the past and finding fulfillment in unknown shores and the true ‘Undiscovered Country’ of our Oneness and connection with All. New worlds and abundance are there for us, but not in the old ways or the old places. Patience and tolerance are called for, which is hard for a Gemini Mars; I believe in him, don’t you?
